Good to hear guys. I was wondering about the 1.22", but likely give a pretty rank ride! Mine's a cruiser not a race car.
I'm getting ready to drop the engine/K frame and putting a parts list together, so the .960's will be on it. I want to freshen the ride up on the front end. The 44 year old bars have paid their dues, I think I heard them say "Thank God!" when they hit the floor last night, lol. I know I said it...they were in there, and didn't want to leave.
I put in the MP XHD leaf springs and shackles a couple of months ago, what a difference!
I upgraded to 1.06's from firm feel on my 73 RR, and really the ride is pretty nice even with the bigger ones. I thought it would be really harsh, but its not.
I'm using the .96 mp t-bars on my 66 Belvedere and I have to say they are a great compromise between ride and handling. Out on the highway the ride is great. When I first built my car I didn't have a sway bar and I was surprised how well the car handled with a 440 up front. I'm building another Belvedere and I have already bought my second set of .96 t-bars.
I'm a little surprised to hear that too idrive, I would have thought once you get into the bigger bars it would start to make the ride harsh. I've never changed them on any of my cars before so this is valuable info for me. Starting to make me wonder what the 1.22's would be like....again...
