reaching out to anyone who has any personal pics of any custom, hot rodded , street machine or 1/4 mile track cars out there built out of any 75-79 B Bodies. lets see some pics....i dont expect this thread to go far LOL...i figured i can reach everyone here by posting this in the general discussion forum

I love your car.

...but if I hear/see "reaching out" one more time, I'm gonna shoot something/someone!
I hate that worse than "don't go there", and almost as much as people ending sentances with "so...".

One of my buds back in the 90s had a 77 Charger Daytona. Two tone red with 360, tuff wheel, buckets and console and 15" rallye wheels. I always thought that was a cool car.

I almost bought a black 79 Magnum GT 360 T top car off of a member of this forum last year.

Well Super77 you have seen mine..but I'll post a bit more, she running a 360 thats been bored and stroked to a 420cui, heads ported, polished, CC'd, relieved over size stainlees valves, match Flowed, and cut .040,with a VERY well built TCI 727, 3:55 gear sure grip for street and a 4:10 for strip,...this weekend ran a 7.72 @91.35 mph 1/8th mile

I'm working on some body issue's with my '79 XE that was dealer striped a GT (no stripes today) that I got from the 1st and only owner. It was a 318/904/8-1/4, 2.76 peg leg car with a split bench that was swapped out for buckets and a console with Gt parts. They look better.

The 318 gave way to a 400/727/9-1/4, 3.55 cogged rear. It has since moved on to a '71 Duster for fun.

The new engine will be a small block and a 727. Not sure of final displacement yet.

245/60/15's on all 4 corners. Looking to make some high output torque engine. Big HP not a concern. It'll come naturally.

I bet that 4D Coronet surprises a **** load of people.

There's a factory silver with red velour interior 75 Brougham down here for fairly cheap.
Looks to be in real good shape from the pics. IIRC, a/c, pw, and other luxo goodies.

YY1 ...why yes it does...SPECIALLY when she ran a 7.51 at 2 clicks under 100mph in the 1/8.....anyway....DEFINETLY !! interested in that 75 ..anyway you get some pix and a contact number for me... I have this ider to build a full chassis car with a 75/76 acid dipped body, lexan, and fiberglass front end...don't ask why....Just cause....LOLOLOLOLOL call it shock value !!!!!

great cars guys, rumble, i LOVE the red interior in the magnum. i have kinda gotten sidetracked with my duster as well, but getting ready to roll out the charger and make a few changes to it, i just hope i have enough blue paint left to cover my steels , and i went ahead and bought a 6 pack scoop to try on it .... and i must say PoppaSmurf, you have a sweet ride there, im glad to see you like to show it off as much as i do i my charger lol

alrighty then, finally the man who has the blue charger daytona that is all over the net has made an appearance! totally awesome! i will confess, aside from blue being my favorite color, i chose blue for mine after seeing the ONE and ONLY built charger that had shown up under google images. i love your ride. i have spent the last two years putting together mine. i have had a number of dobas , but i found a 77 se that i just had to have. the bastard of all B Body chargers.... here are a few clicks of mine...these pics are from last year, but i have plans for a few things this spring. i am lowering the car, and i have a different scoop, a different wheel and tire combo and a couple other thing going on so stay tuned.....

Thanks for the kind words, Super 77. All of these rides in this thread are super nice! Your Charger is very cool, nice work! I love the old school vibe and stance on it, but yeah, getting it down a little bit couldn't hurt. (Does it ever?) I looked last night and couldn't find my most recent pics of it, but here are some older ones that show most of the updates to date. Sorry some of them are crappy cell pics, but you get the idea. As you can see, most of the changes are actually under that huge hood! Stay tuned on this channel as well, as the next month or so is gonna bring a Dana swap, some CalTracs, and a even a little bit lower stance into the picture.

you did NOT turbo charge that 400/440 ? that is sick ! you dont know how much that motivates me. i have literally spent the better part of 2 years searching for anyone that has done ANYTHING with the dodge 75-77 B Bodies and the people in this thread have been as close as i have come. i have even had people ask me why i would waste any kind of real money on this year of charger, and i have been insulted by the doba haters out there LOL. the 77 charger *** end treatment was 77 charger only with the exception of the 2500 78 chargers that came to a stop when the magnum took over the XS22 body code. back in the day, our neighbors brought home a brand new 1977 dodge charger daytona that had a yellow /orange/red 3 tone color daytona treatment that i will never forget. there were just over 23,000 XS22 chargers for 77 and im sure 3/4 of them are gone. keep the pics coming and it is a treat to have you here...by the way , what color blue is that ? it looks to be a B3

Thanks again, 77! I agree that these B bodies just don't get any love. At shows I am always hearing stories about how they had one, or their parents or their neighbors had one and how they always liked it, yet very few choose them for builds. Kind of odd, I think. As far as the engine setup, it's a 469" low deck stroker with ported Stage 6 heads, with a Procharger blowing through a custom intercooler and a Demon carb.
The color is Cadet Blue/Starlight Blue metallic (I think it was code PB3).
Incidentally, your car is totally sweet! Don't listen to the haters, keep on doing what you're doing, man. I love the older stuff for sure, but it would sure be boring if nobody dared to be different with their builds.

Definitely get better pics. Is the hood scoop light or dark blue? How come you took off the fender/door emblems? I don't see how anyone could hate on late b bodies after seeing yours, so does that ever happen? A hardtop would be cool, but really the only thing to dislike would be the bumperettes. Give any thought to shaving those and/or going for a 1 piece grill?

Does "in my head" count? "On paper"?

I drive my 79 300 all over the place and will until something major lets go... then it'll get some kind of a modern touring suspension but with mild 70s stock car look from the waist down. Nothing radical, just a '70s handler look with today's parts underneath, a 70s pleated velour interior, and the 300 colors & special pieces intact. Side AAR type exhaust, gear vendors unit, bits from all the eras but basically stock bodied.

As it is right now it's the best balanced & handling car of its size I've ever had, and I've road tripped it from Texas to Florida & back and to Kansas & back. Would love to do a run to the West coast in it.

I LOVE this car and the 70s stuff - dare I say it - even more than the 60s stuff. I mean I do dig it all but one's childhood is one's childhood and it ingrains itself into the DNA. :headbang:
