Are Trico wiper blades still a good brand?

Behicle in question is a 2022 Colorado. The blades on it are OEM and are getting kinda bad which surprises me since this thing is an outdoor cat.

Trico has about five different grades, cheapest to best.

Problem with anything rubber now days, (yes he said rubber) is that the EPA removed the good stuff so the elements will break them down quickly. Parking you vehicle pointing toward the sun most of the day will shorten the life. Same with tires.

I was wondering about wiper blades myself recently and didn't know which to buy when I was at the store.
My Ram 2500 is a '21 and had the original blades. Last week it started snowing and I lifted the wipers up off the windshield, just to find the rubber on the drivers side one was starting to shred loose. Dang, that blade is toast!
So I stopped at the store the next day, and they had at least 4 brands of wipers, and each one had different grades, ranging from not much over $10 to almost $30 a blade.
I settled on a mid grade Rain-X. Then after I got home I had a heck of a job installing the new blade, I was pushing it into the C channel and couldn't get it to "snap" securely. At one point I was about ready to put it back in its packaging and return it saying it didn't work. I tried one more time and shoved on the blade so hard trying to push it all the way into the channel that I was afraid I'd bend something, and finally heard that "click" I'd so desperately been waiting to hear.
Time will tell how well that one will last. The 22" was a bit shorter than the OE blade too. For some reason the OE Ram blades aren't 22" or 24", so you have to buy OE for $35 or chose a between bit small or else a bit large.

And using the wipers on an icy windshield will also drastically reduce their effectiveness.

Cold rubber on hard ice....that's how the Grand Canyon was formed (sort of - fast flowing water and gigantic chunks of ice on soft rock)

I’ve been using Peak-Optics on the modern Mopars. Good, not any cheaper though.

..Bosch Blades are stupid expensive..BUT they work better and last longer than any other brand Ive used...

Trico. When I was a kid they made those in Buffalo NY. Are the package labels still in English?

I buy OEM wiper blades because they look and fit better. They all last about the same to me. None last like they did 30-years ago.

Trico is now part of Anco so I couldn’t tell you a difference anymore just price. Also seen truck dealers sell them pretty reasonable compared to regular parts stores. Like a Freightliner or international dealer.

Made in Mexico these days....and who knows where else.

There's a truck store about 3 miles from me. Was in there some time back and they had a sales table where they had several packages of the 72 and up (to whenever they quit making that model) tail light lenses. Made a deal on buying all of them. IIRC, was in there to buy a stick of 4" exhaust pipe and a rain cap for my smoker.
