Im looking at putting a five speed in my '67 Coronet R/T. Is anyone running one that you dont have to modify the floor pan and that handles high rpm? Looking for any input on this...Thanks!

i have a tremec but not enough miles on it to say two much. direct shifter into the tranny is different . apparently if you have a floor shift car now you don't have to cut the floor, but ask to be sure. a lot will depend on you gear ratio also.

Was it the product, service, support, or all of the above that left you feeling that way?

Everything. They sent me a trans tunnel for a Camaro. Was missing parts. The guy was rude.customer service was crap. The shifter relocation bracket didn't fit trans or shifter. Was missing speed pig tail. Missing the plug for mechanical speed. Pedal assembly rod missing clips to hold in place. All right before power tour. I will not.send them any more money. Please go to someone else. Or source yourself. Not worth their $5600 I spent.

I plan to run the NV3500 truck trans behind my 5.7 hemi...I found a guy who did it in a dakota and says plenty of track time on it without scattering parts. So I will give it a shot. Its smaller then most of the other 5 speed options, only $400 for low miles from a salvage yard and bolts right up for me. Plus at $400 if I kill it....it wasn't that expensive. (but this only works behind a small block or 3g hemi since the bell housing is cast into the case.

yea they are weak but as long as your not putting slicks on there and dumping the clutch should be good. good luck

Yeah the idea here is just a cruiser but I want OD and this should hopefully hold up well for what I am doing until I scratch together enough coin for a t-56.
