Ok little advice needed here. I got new pressure plate bolts from ARP today. They didn't come with lock washers like the factory ones, only flat. Also they're torque spec is 45# were Mopars is 30#. I used the flat arp washers with red loctite and torqued to 30ft lbs. Now Im second guessing myself. Stock 383hp btw. Am I good?

No your not good. Why on earth didn’t you torque them to the spec the bolt manufacturer gave you????

Fail, Do not pass go do not collect $200

Do it again, and do it right this time.

Geez man chill, I was going by the factory spec from Dodge. Didn’t notice the little slip of paper in the pack that had the arp spec.

If you used red loctite, it’s doubtful they’re coming loose. Three main things govern bolt torque. Thread size, bolt material and lubrication used. The ARP bolts are a much higher tensile strength material vs the factory bolts so they’ll require a higher torque value to achieve the proper stretch (clamp load). The proper way to do it would be to remove, clean and reinstall using the proper torque spec.

beat me to it hemirunner
think of a bolt as a spring
you have to stretch it or no clamp
rant time
do not use grade 8 bolts in your pan or valve body\
you cant get the proper stretch without deforming parts and squishing gaskets

I pulled them out cleaned and torqued to arp spec. I just didn’t see the paper till after they were in. All should be good now, thanks!

no one seems to ever take the time to completely look over their new parts, just pull the stuff out and ....cool new stuff put it on,quick before its not new any more.....Slow down and look everything over and see whats in the box. Everything ARP comes with instructions, everything. And throw that red locktite away. theres nothing on your car that needs that. It will just cause you issues down the road.
