The engine is loading up after starting and I feel that the choke pull off needs adjusted or replaced.

sent you a reply...sounds like pull off not working if it has one. Post a pic of carb if you can

Thanks for the help, as soon as I started the car and checked the pull off I knew it was toast.

Sounds like you got it covered but I have spent some time with those as well as plenty others.

Its probably the original pull off..when I bought the car the PO told me the carb "probably" would need rebuilt because it took forever to start...found that the choke was bad. Replaced the choke and it starts right up now but after a moment or two it starts to load up.....found a bad pull off. Car runs fine on the road, doesn't stall, doesn't surge and idles well. With replacing the pull off I will also eliminate a vaccum leak.....:tongue5:
