I love my 68 but damn, I really like the 70s. Best year of the bird in my opinion. I always love seeing that beauty Biomed.Year One aluminum Rally wheels. I REALLY needed some sticky wide tires in the back so I can actually floor it at some point in 1st gear without smoking the tires. 8" fronts and 9" rears with 315/35/17 Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials! The rear tires fit in the fenderwell like they could have been original factory equipped! About 1 1/2" clearance between the tire and stock location leaf springs and outer fenderwell.View attachment 378932 View attachment 378933
Thanks Runner. The 68s led the way, 69s Car of the Year and added fresh air, and the 70 kept the beautiful "coke bottle" body shape, added the ultimate (imo) fresh air system of ALL muscle cars, and a little more "modern" front and rear appearance. I found a 70 too far gone for God to restore, but the N96 Air Grabber was in good shape, so I am getting closer to having one on my carI love my 68 but damn, I really like the 70s.
