My restoration is nearing completion of my 69 rr. The car was originally an auto but the previous owner did a four speed swap, how much will this effect the value?

Do you like the 4 speed setup and plan on keeping the car or are you planning on selling it? Original cars usually are worth a bit more but I'm one that like 4 speeds and don't mind it not being original but probably wouldn't pay top dollar for it. How much difference in price does it make? 500 to a grand maybe? Do you have the original trans for it? That will help if you have it with the car when you sell it.

I dont have the trans but kept the consule and related parts. I'm a four speed man myself and plan on keeping it but for what i'm putting into the resto it would be nice to know Its worth what I have into it.

Depending on if its done correct with correct parts id say the value wont be shaken too much
-as long as your not selling to a person that cares about having everything org.

Modified to have things the way you/people want it-should increase the value to some people- And like everything in life a butcher job isn't appreciated ; p

thats a relief thanks. ill be holding on to it for a while havent driven it in years probably wont want to give it up
