And then 'back in the day' there was a youngster(probably 18) that went with a friend to pick up a rebuilt 440 on the west side of Akron,Oh. Got the engine put in & went out to the local hangouts looking for a race with my buddies '65 Sat. No takers(?) well, the engine was known all around for being built by 'Akron' Arlen Vanke. Walked into his 'backyard' shop complex and got to watch his main paint guy doing a couple motorcycle gas tanks free hand. Can't remember his name,darn it. He did all of Vanke's cars.
