Oh hell yes, over and over, and over...for years....and making stacks of cans for displays...we had to toss cases of cans in the trucks when ever we went out anywhere...in the Army.

Some full service gas stations use to stick one in a empty can, turn it upside down in the valve cover and charge you for a quart of oil! "Back in the day".

How about these? I have a couple in my man cave collection. They still work too.

Back in the day there were no tabs. The first Bud cans. Heavy steel and they will do damage.

Kids today have no clue....Drive in movies & kurb service.....lost Americana.......dead arts.
Lucky for us not to far across the state line in PA, there is a active drive in. Good old greasy burgers, hot dogs, cotton candy and so on. Our son even enjoys going and sitting on a blanket or in the car.

Working while in high school, the gas station had a reservoir with a 1-qt. pumper on top; we would drain individual qt. cans(oil,ATF) into reservoir and then sell a qt. at a time for anyone. Probably mostly straight weight motor oil w/ a little atf added in for $.50 a qt.(?) For the beaters! Horrors thinking about it now.
