Maybe some of you have bought parts from them on ebay. They have a 100% feedback rating. I bought a set of A pillar trim pieces for my RR for a good price, supposedly original and just removed from a car by the seller. So, they arrived at my house. They were very carefully wrapped and packed which I was very happy about. About a week after receiving them, I carefully unwrapped them and went to install the driver side piece (since that's the only one that was broken on my car). First thing I noticed was the smell of fresh paint. Ok, so they were supposed to be original, but hey they looked good so I was fine with them being painted. Well, as I went to put it on my car I noticed two cracks, one right through the middle screw hole and one at the top of the piece. There is no way you could take these off a car without noticing these cracks. I contacted the seller through ebay and explained the issue. He asked to see pictures, which I sent. He then asked for more pictures, which I sent. Then nothing. After 5 days, I escalated it to a claim and for some f'd up reason, ebay decided against me. I"m sure the seller claims that they were in perfect condition when he sent them but there is no way they were. So, I sent him one last email to try and work it out before I leave very negative feedback. I have well over 500 transactions on ebay and 100% FB rating. I buy a lot of crap on there and have not been screwed like this in a while. Again, the seller is black_designs. Buyer beware!

As always, especially on Ebay it's "Buyer Beware". I've done a lot on Ebay too as it is easier than swap meets and salvage yards.

I always try to look at the stuff as soon as it hits my door. I got burned like that too. After a few days of getting a part I opened the box and it was broken, contacted the company and they had a "24 hours after receipt" policy. Tried the damaged during shipping claim but that was a waste because the shipper did not insure the part.
Good luck and thanks for the heads up.

if you payed with paypal try opening a claim with them, also look @ the ad see if you could see the cracks, if so then forget it ! if no cracks, try and reopening your claim, good luck!

Thanks for the heads up. It really pisses me off when people aren't up front about the condition of the stuff they sell on Ebay. I've been pretty lucky for the most part, but I've had a few problems too.

I tried going the Paypal route too but now they are tied to Ebay so they know if you've already opened a claim. :angryfire: Unfortunately, you can't see the cracks in the pics the way they were taken. And upon a quick look over I couldn't see them either until I went to put it on and found there was one right through a screw hole. Well, haven't heard anything back from the crook, so I guess I'll just have to leave that feedback.

Return them for refund - not as described. eBay has a 100% satisfaction guaranteee.... including shipping charges....

That's what I tried to do but for some reason they found in favor of the seller. The last email I got from the case said something like "it is possible the item may no longer be in the same condition as when it was shipped." WTF is that?? I posted pictures that clearly showed the two cracks. The listing on ebay of course showed angles of the pieces so you couldn't see any cracks. So, I'm quite sure the seller claims that the pieces were fine when he sent them. I'm an extremely honest person with over 500 pos feedbacks on ebay and other forums around the interweb. If I broke them while installing them, etc. then that's on me and I'd eat it. But, I can assure you that's not the case here. So, long story short, I don't know if I can appeal to ebay or what. And the worst part is I still have to find a driver's side trim piece! Of course the passenger side piece (which I don't need) was perfect. Oh well. Just had to vent.
