Bad vibrations

How you making out, Get the new motor back together yet?

Happy to report she smooth as silk now. Instantly rips 7k with part throttle blips like it’s a 340.. now to take some gear out and do a wheel alignment.

Sounds great too... :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I don't like red & I really like that GTS

Really nice work! Hopefully I'll see it this year. Respectfully, if that's a flexible steel rad hose, i've seen those break.

Look forward to seeing you in person at the track.

Quick update, first outting in the car in 10 years.

Well it turned out to be a good weekend. Got to make 3 time trial hits Thursday. Car started off in the 9.90’s, so I started leaning the carbs. By Saturday it was in the 9.80’s in the heat and humidity pretty sure it would have went 9.70’s Sunday (better air) but I was told I couldn’t dial faster than 10.0 due to the lack of enough roll cage. No time trial Sunday. Brakes absolutely suck. I knew it needed a brake uograde but decided to run it anyway. I could barely make the return road on a full pass. Also I had to leave off idle, both Friday and Saturday eliminations I went out first round when I tried to bring the car up off idle a little and it learched deep into the lights and causing me to red light. By Sunday I was at peace with the fact we were going to leave dead off idle. Made it all the way to the finals in hemi super stock dialing 10.0. Pretty cool consisting my car was the only one I seen in the class that had a license plate and was an actual street car. I think there’s more left. I would like to see some more mph out of it and some better 60’s as well. Best 60ft was 1.38 after tweaking on the shocks and bars a little. Looks like it was almost driving over the tire. The big hemi performed flawlessly, cooling and charging system proved up to the task of hot lapping with ease.

This was a good pass, too bad I had to scrub it down to a 10.0…

Just curious, what brakes are you running? and i would make that a priority to fix :)

Kinda surpsied the ssbc's won't get the job done... more aggressive pads wouldn't do it?

I considered that but I’m over it. I have SSBC’s on my roadrunner. I put more aggressive pads on it and then the rotors warped. Time for something different.

Eck.... i figured it would wear the rotor a bit but not actually warp em.. that's nuts. I'm with the stock discs... but since my car doesn't drive they work perfectly :)
