I believe it's largely due to the 'mobile device' they are so preoccupied with. Mine stays in my pocket if I'm driving. Nothing there...that won't still be there...once I reach my destination. I regularly see driver's fiddling with them while driving, and scrolling while at stoplights...usually holding up traffic when the light goes green. I just don't understand the 'addiction'

It’s a constant these days. I have a simple 10 minute drive to work at 6am and there’s always someone pulling stupid stuff.

I used to occasionally say that to my IT crew after a morning project meeting.

Most were old enough to know where it came from.

Classic.

Got woke up at 5:30 AM one day last week when this car left the road in my yard, drove through the neighbor's heavy gauge steel mailbox then rolled, ending up against our power pole, knocking out power to us and the neighbor. She died on the way to the hospital. What a shock!

I've driven truck and I ride a bike. Usually I can predict what these idiots are going to do a mile or so before they do it. They can still surprise you though. Terrorist season June until labour day.
