We were in the backyard today and the stainless steel barbeque lid has some new dents that look exactly like linear marks from a bear claw. You guys remember this pic from the backyard cam. I've always heard BBQ grills act like bait for bears. Think of the power it would take to put those creases in that heavy lid.

Hibernation is an assumption. I had a cold stretch in late November and AssUmed a bear wouldn't touch the outside garbage bin that even had some ammonia in it. Well, next morning, I was picking up garbage on my side yard and it wasn't a fun task. Luckily the bag wasn't dragged into the neighbors yard... That would sucked even more. The most recent bag in bin, I generously sprayed some really nasty smelling cheap cologne as a deterant.
