I think the sheriff got the location from the FBI ,do you know a cop, if you can prove you got it from someone else the worst they will do is impound it to prosecute who you got it from , if not that will be you if it is stolen

Find out if the car is stolen and then you can cut the front half off and attach it to a rust bucket. Then when you are done, you can attach the back half to the rust bucket and then you will have a nice body.

replacing a damaged front and/or rear clip has been common practice in the auto body / used parts industry since the covered wagon lmao....... as well as roofs, rockers, cowls, doors, hoods, deck lids, and floors......... just dont do it all at the same time

From what I understand, that's not really legal either but who checks that stuff?? The only time it's checked around here is if someone gets in a crash or a chase and gets caught.

I normally don't frequent this topic area as I am no longer turning any wrenches and working on cars. I have to say that I find the OP's query a bit off setting. Now why one may ask would I see it that way??? Anytime a topic like this is raised, it also sets off a Red Flag Warning for me. It clearly shows that the OP has zero documentation in either paper work, or a Vin Card/Fender Tag, and nothing has he mentioned about the number stamping else where that we all know are nearly always still in place today unless tampered with or removed. My second concern has to do with why would anyone acquire...as so aptly has been discussed visa vie or bought...without at least doing some due diligence in their eventual receipt of said vehicle??? Needs and wants over take any rational forethought is at best what I can garner from all this. Personally I would have walked away for something a bit better and documented rather than start asking fellow FBBO members to help him make it as he called it, "A Legit Vehicle." That right there says to me that he is more than willing to undertake some nefarious tasks at our expense. I say just move along on this guys. About the only title the OP's going to get with absolutely nothing is a Salvage title, if DMV will even issue one on a vehicle that old? And he'll have one hell of a headache also with DVM trying to get a VIN issued on a VIN-less vehicle, and would DMV even do that? If anything, it would create a call to the State Police about a possible stolen vehicle. That's going to raise some eyebrows for sure! Seems like the OP's got some hard oat's to sow if he doesn't get caught! I'd strip it and sell the parts and trash the rest! Good Luck

I tried the DMV. A guy had this years ago among other mopars. He dissected everything down to nut and bolt. Then he got ill and cars sat and sat and sat. Eventually everything was sooo picked over from relation to so called friends of family. I have located some numbers on trunk lid channel that match radiator support. I’m going to try the DMV yet again with that info. That’s for the helpful comments and not so helpful comments. I just can’t fathom seeing a car that was blasted and painted to be resurrected go astray. But I’m realizing now that a perfect body isn’t all that hood without a beating heart

Please tell me, why'd you buy a car with nothing to go on, not even a VIN??? How do you know it's not a stolen car??? Better yet, how'd you get a title with no VIN, you did get a title didn't you?? If not, why not with no VIN?
If you don't have anything to prove it's a Road Runner, then it's just another cheap-*** Belvedere Taxi cab that probably started life with a /6!!! Sounds like you really screwed your own pooch on this one! Good Luck

Is the original back seat unmolested? You never know, the build sheet may still be there. A long shot I know, but find that and match it to the trunk lip and rad support and viola.
