Best Drag tire for asphalt / no prep racing

I know of a grudge / street car that has been .096 60 ft & 4.02 in the 1/8 (not a typo) knocking on the door of 200 MPH on a 275-60-15 M/T Radial Pro. They can work when the suspension is dialed in.
On the old motor I would leave on the brake @ 3000 RPM on a prepped street with little to no tire spin with the 315/60/15 Radial Pro's definitely a badass tire, 541HP with a 250 shot of nitrous on a Progresser @ 50% in at 1 second & 100% in at 2 second's, no B.S Hooked and Booked !! A to B every time

With the ET streets, I’m white knuckling the Belvedere home whenever a couple of raindrops hit the ground.
Never had a problem, but sure ain’t testing fate.
If I would have gone off the interstate right instead of left in my 89 Conquest I may have been in the trees, and dead....
The Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials have a unique tread pattern that gave me confidence that a wet road wouldn't kill me. I rarely find myself driving my Roadrunner in the rain, but still no problem with the Toyos.
I will NEVER run Nitto 555s again on a car that sees ANY street driving!

I'd run a bias tire on the street with no prep. Hoosier or M/T street/drag. The radial is good, on good prep. The bias is more forgiving.

moparcrazy was that 250 shot on a stock block? I'm thinking about buying a plate system for my 500.

I put a Nitrous Express Mainline kit on my 505
this Spring. Doing a 150 shot right now and it is way too much fun! Stock block and running 10.6 @ 128mph in a car I can drive anywhere. Tempting to try a 200 shot on it since the 150 works so well.

I have run plenty of 250 shot kits on all kinds of my stock big block 440's in my New Yorkers, Newports and Town and Country wagon sleepers, never hurting an engine. It's all in the tune.

Thanks for the info, I’ll start a “Nitrous for newbies” thread when I get it installed. Hopefully I can get some help from you guys.

Track car runs 10.5Wx31. Street stuff actully have,275 M/T Pro radiaLS cause we strwet driven track race on the same tire. Pure street would be ET street bias. That's why the the dedicated 9.25 index car runs bias, repeatability.

Re: nitrous.
Nitrous Express has a plate system for the Holley 6 bbl.
So far I only have the center spray plate.
I have to decide whether to complete that system or contact the originator of NOS. I met a guy at Memphis International Raceway and he said that the original NOS guy (I would have to look up his name) would do a custom system for me if I let them have my aluminum 6bbl manifold to work with directly.
Either way, I see some spray in my near future.

M/T ET Streets. Also worried about wet pavement.
