Best Rollar Rocker Arms

I put a set of $1200 T&Ds on my 440 with Indy heads, after breaking some cheap Indy aluminum rockers ... If you are running a set up with a big cam and high pressure springs do not cut corners on the rockers!

Go with the T&D rockers. They are not much more than the harland sharps, they are more expensive if you do the shaft upgrade and hold down upgrade through harland.T&D are a great choice for ez heads with big springs and the push rod clearance issues they have.I run the same setup with a 650 roller and smith bros. push rods that gets some street use with no issues.I spent 900 for the T&D rockers and harland with shaft upgrade and hold downs was closer to a grand.

Guys I know have very good luck with the Harland-Sharps. That's what I will probably run next go around...

As long as were talking rockers, anyone ever heard of McWilliams Rocker Arms? I'm running them now and seem to be working OK. I got em from a friend who knew a guy that had an uncle that traded a horse for 'em:icon_biggrin: They look similar to crane with no rollers or bushings on the shaft. I don't find any info on the the web. As long as they stay together, I'll keep running 'em...

Hey All
What is the best brand of rollar rockers for the $. I have a set of Crane Gold and they just backed off for the last time.
PS Im Sellin them Cheep:grin:

I'm not trying to bash 440Source (I've used some of their stuff with no issues) but I had a bad experience with their rockers. I went with their roller rockers trying to save a few bucks on my last build. After maybe 100 runs, the rollers ate into the shafts. See the attached picture. Of course the metal went all through my engine and when I freshened it up over the winter, the bearings showed signs of dirt (i.e. rocker shaft material). I ended up buying Harland Sharps. Like I said, I don't want to beat up on 440Source. They do have some great stuff. The rockers just didn't hold up for me. Maybe for light street duty they'd be ok...

Harland Sharp---never had an issue yet---im running a .720 roller,.. cant remember the spring pressure,.as its been years since i built the engine,..
and i have Mancini aluminum hold downs,.& smith bros' pushrods... after a expensive failure,.i'll never cut corners on that crap again...

I hear that Proform is at that bottom of the pile.....another great product from China.

Hughes here. My brother and I both run them and they have worked flawless. Ron

Has anyone else ran the Racer Brown rockers sold through 4secondsflat.com? Seem to be a nice set of rockers and don't cost a grand.
As far as the turbo 400/727 thing. I do remember way back we spun a sprague in our 727. It split the case in half and crap spewed everywhere. Not pretty.

Harland Sharpe

Harland Sharpe- same rockers on 3 different motors and never a problem, never backed off......
