Best "speed enhancer" ?

I've been driving Ford Police Interceptors since 1992, and they are the best system ever devised. When I blow through a radar or LIDAR trap, I just wave to the cop, he/she waves back, and I keep going on my way.

In the Roadrunner, I use an Escort 7500, which is an excellent unit and not very expensive as the 8500 and 9500 units are drawing the big bucks.

ABS brakes leaves skid marks? Accident reconstruction and investigation is big business these days in court. Testimony on speed from a cop can sometimes be admitted in court but it's not something that stands up very well either. If a vehicle blows through a marked section and is stop watched, that's better than just a visual in most cases but a judge can admit into the court just about anything they want. Also, with the newer vehicles, they can download the last several seconds of operation if the vehicle was involved in a crash....yeah, your vehicle can tell on you.

As for detectors...bought the Escort Passport in the early 80's and used it until the laser crap came out. Never got a ticket but the instant on stuff wouldn't give much of a warning in the event you were doing 30+ over the freeway limit. The Passport was 300 bucks back then.

a ticket fixing lawyer told me one way to fight a radar speed ticket is to ask when the gun was last tested and certified.he said there are strick laws reguarding that in many states and the guns are very rarely upto date on inspections.he gets alot of tickets thrown out that way.i am sure it is diff from state to state.i have not used a detector of any kind for better than 15 years,so i got no input there.:eusa_think:

Hello. I work 25 miles one way and have been pulled over 3 times in 3 years. Went out and bought a passport 9500ix. Saved me at least 5 times in the last year. It is a $500 detector, but if I get 1 ticket with a junky one. I would of kicked myself for going cheap. I researched the crap out of this detector. Good luck.
