best tire combo? 275/60/15 rear.. 235/60/15 looks short for front.

just had some BFG's installed on my magnum 15" wheels (and pretty sure 8" wide, will verify tomorrow).
We went 275/60/15 rear, and 235/60/15 front, but I think the front needs to come up a tad (adjust the height with the bolts under the control arms) but the 235/60's look a bit small? Have a pair of 255/60/15's we were gonna use on the rear if new leaf springs didn't lift enough to not worry about rubbing.. but what do you think about 255/60/15 FRONT, or should i just send the 255's back and get a pair of 245/60/15?
275/60 rear is 28" tall and 10.8" wide
235/60 is 26.1" tall, 9.3 wide
245/60 is 26.6" tall, 9.6 wide
255/60 is 27" tall, 10" wide, OR, a 235/65 is ALSO 27" tall , So would be only 1" shorter than the 275 rears, and is 9.3" wide (same as 235/60)
would the 255/60 on the front, being 10" wide, steer oddly or anything? just had new upper and lower control arms, hd torsion bars, hd leaf springs, some nice shocks.. just like the wheel wells filled up, but a bit of a raised rear stance. just think we have too much right now.. advice?
thanks!

If you have at least a 7" wheel, the 255/60-15 tires will be fine in front.

pretty sure he said they are 8" wheels, will verify tomorrow and add that info to post. THANKS! i think the 255/60's would look bad a** up front.

225/70R15's are a pretty good match with a 275/60 out back, especially if you have 7" wheels and/or manual steering. 245/60's are less than a 1/2" taller than 235/60 and the visual difference isn't that great.

235/60 = 26.1 tall
245/60 = 26.57 tall
225/70 = 27.4 tall
275/60 = 27.99 tall

i like the idea of the 225 70 15 up front, as you said it's a good bit taller than the 235/60, but still tad shorter than the 275/60 out back.

I like to run 225/70's on the front and 275/60's on the rear as well. It's a very popular combo.

Have the 255x60x15" on the Coronet on 15x7 rims and sometimes the tire will contact the wheel opening molding in cornering. I think the rim offset is centered, so maybe it could use more backspace?

255/60 is a little wide for a 7" rim. Most manufacturers approve mounting it but it will have a good bit of sidewall bulge. 235/70's are tall enough to really fill up the wheel wells, if your car is "raked" down you'll probably have to crank up the torsion bars to have clearance.

I’m running 245’s on the front of my Bee and 275’s on the back. 8” rims. No rubs.

A 235/70R15 is about the same diameter as a 275/60R15, that would be my choice.

Agree on both counts. At the time, I somewhat reluctantly mounted a pair of 255's on a pair of 7's, but have been fine.

had the shop crank in 2 turns on the Q1A control arms and it raised slightly (can hardly tell honestly, and the shop says i'll need to do another alignment since we changed ride height?)..
and will likely tell them to order 225 70 15's for front later today (thanks for suggestion). those tires will bring front up close to another inch, and fill in fender well a bit nicer (i think), but really like the look of the 245/60's. .

had shop put in 2 turns of front height with screws under lower control arms. minor change. may do bit more.
