I am wondering if anyone can tell me what the first and second numbers mean on the body and rad support stamping. I know the build date and order number is the last 5 digits but what does the 72 mean at the start. Was thinking maybe 7 is the year as it is a 67 but not sure on the 2.

Don’t quite get the B8B
Someone can check me on this, but I believe this would be:
B= Hamtramck
8= 1968
B= Barracuda
A11545= the order number, and if memory serves, the "A" indicates 'built for Canada'

I could have the Bs reversed, but it seems Plant/Year/Model if I remember right.

The letter "I" is simply used in place of the digit "1" in the body stampings.
In your first pic, you've got the "7" year and "2" plant. The numbers that follow are "505" - the scheduled production date; May 5th 1967 (Added to the Sales order # by corporate). The unique Sales order number "02014" was pre-printed on an order form in a 'pad' which the dealers got. That all yields the Vehicle Order Number (VON) 505-02014.

That's the way I understand it anyway.
