yes it eliminates bench bleeding... Your pushing fluid in reverse of it's normal path, Air tends to rise in fluid so trying to force it down to the wheels is dumb... Push it up so it helps rather than fights...
Have you ever seen a master cylinder bled on the car with a syringe?

If your replacing a master cylinder why bench bleed when you can bolt the master on dry & force fluid back through the ports & immediately install the lines?
The normal way isn't always the best way...
