Brake kit question

Both are the same kit...master is the only difference. The 1st one uses a mopar stylemc and the other uses a chevy style mc. There are cheaper kits out there, and they are the same as the ones your looking at, just a huge price difference...200-300 bucks. I have the bottom kit, and I used a Wilwood mc cause thats how I roll, lol!! Nothing wrong with either kit, just pick your poison.

Hey there 68, that price seems good.

I like the adjustable proportioning valve in that first kit. The others use a GM based prop valve. Who's making the new spindles? Are they based on the 73-76 A bodies or are they the 73-up B body spindles?

I ended up with the SSBC kit because thrie calipers are 4 piston. My junk is over 3800 lbs and I am veyt happy with the results.

Are the rotors in the SSBC kit 11" (actually 10.75") or the larger 11.75"? I bought the Master Power Brakes kit with the single piston sliding calipers and factory smaller rotors and I've been unhappy with the brake feel. 2 mechanics bled it several times, so everything seems installed correctly. I'm looking at upgrading to the larger rotors with AR engineering's caliper adapters sold through Mancini along with wildwood calipers per the Mopar magazine article. I've heard good things about the quality of the SSBC kit though.

The first kit is from "Right Stuff Detailing". I hear it's a pretty good kit. I think that's the one I'm gonna go with too. You can get them cheaper if you go to www.getdiscbrakes.com (that's their direct website) and use promo code TJOOS. I think it's still good.

I think your final desicion should be based on the type of driving you do and how much weight you're trying to stop,,,,,,,from what speed:icon_rambo::munky2:

I would agree with hemi-itis. it all depends on what your doing. The SSBC kits dont come with the master cylinder and spindles and all that jazz but they dont need it. they bolt to your existing drum spindles. they are pure performance in comparison. but maybe hemi-itis can let us know on where you get brake pads. The kit from ebay uses stock type pads you can get from NAPA I belive, but i dont know with SSBC. These are the front and rear kits im going to order once my bank account recovers from the Hotchkis TVS kit i bought.
