So I was replacing front pads and 1 caliper was bad ,piston not going in. Decided to replace both with new. I have a new MC so what the heck might as well replace that. Now my question is can I blow out the lines-get out the gunk. Will the air blow threw the portion valve or do I need to unhook that? Thanks Dave

I would unhooked every single connection and spray brake clean through everything. Then blow it out. Take the splitter/prop valve out and clean it separately.

Sediment “gunk” will not form in the lines only in components. Bench bleed master then bleed brakes till clean fluid.

This is called a brake fluid flush. recomended by new car manufacturers. easy to do and cleans everything

Brake fluid is hygroscopic and the lines rust out easily. If it was me I would replace all the hardlines. It's easy enough to do and I know it gives me piece of mind with all the tailgating going on in todays driving.
Just my $0.02.
