I showed that in various shots last week in random... give me a bit!How did you get the guts out of the old regulator without tearing it up?
I started carving it off the case with a knife. Progressed to the torch heated blade, then a zip bit in the dremal around the perimeter. Heat gun softened things up to take chunks out, but I still had to break it out in pieces. Things learned ...two things hold the board in. Two rivets in the male plug / socket clip bracket and the board gets soldered to a spot welded bracket before it is buried in sand and potting compound. No way you're getting one out on one piece!Did the potting melt with the heat gun enough to get it out or was the torch required? Looks like a new old one now. Nice work.
