Broke my 7UP Pop Machine today....

I am under the impression that tires should be stored upright. Is that a fallacy?
In my honest opinion.. yes it's a fallacy, it just makes for easier storage racks.. LOL. On their side makes a hell of a lot more sense to keep a tire round. These ones are going on the car, the old ones are going on the wall, UPRIGHT! LOL (or I'll be selling them to guys for their trunk spares at a stupid price, seeing I paid 3 grand for 4 tires!)

I assume that your tyre (tire) fitting guys know about the three positions around the circumference for easy balancing?

My guy checks tyres before loading a ton of lead weights on the wheels. You get three attempts at minimal weights on every tyre.

Yes it can be a PITA time-wise, but looks better in the long run....especially on mags.

BTW...congrats on getting the rubber at last Wayne.

Tweeking and cleaning today, in 100LL, before I media blast them and repaint them.

Bead seat area sprayed first, fronts primed with VHT header primer. Rear sides sprayed with Tremclad flat black. Then two coats of VHT high temp wheel paint in SP-188 F... Silver Argent. I found what seemed to be the last two cans left on earth back in the Spring. No masking, just like the factory, let the Silver overspray land where it may.

Nigel has been a real help since about 1989. After conversion and exchange rates, shipping rates from the USA he has saved us money through the years.
I shudder at our Postal Service going on strike.

Nigel only uses UPS now. He dumped Canpar and never uses the post office from out there in the boonies...
