Brothers surgery this morning.

Our oldest brother had his removed aprox 10 years ago. Regular surgery 4 days hospital stay.
Fast forward to now , this time its laproscopic and they use a robot . He should get out tomarrow eve if all goes well.

I just had my prostate removed in early Aug. Robotic surgery and out the next day. I am working on bladder control issue.

Well we are all getting older.
This morning I am picking up my brother at 4:30 and we are headed to Des Moines.
He has prostate cancer and is having the prostate removed.
The surgery is to be laproscopic with a 1 to 2 day stay.

I wish him the best.

Yep Ed, he didn't hesitate after the biopsy results came back he just told them to remove it. He is my youngest brother out of the 4 of us he is 56.

With the immediate family history of that, I actually tried to talk my doctor into removing mine.
He said there was no way anyone would authorize removal of a prostate before it was diagnosed cancerous...

Yes, that sounds like a issue each guy has to deal with, I'm sure he will also.

Update, surgery went well.
He is sore but doing good.

Got him home to his place yesterday. He is doing pretty good for next day exit lol.
His girlfriend is staying with him now and he can call me or one of his kids if he needs anything.
So far it all is going fine, thanks everyone.
