Bullitt Charger R/T revisited!

Someone built this diorama of a more fitting ending for the first Fast and Furious movie! Lol

In the wind were rumors the this is partially or more rebuilt and the original motor was located. I’m not sure if the motor is with the “car” or not.
It would be cool to see the car completed, especially if the original engine gets reunited with the car. I am one of those people that would rather see a car like this saved, instead of there being one less Daytona in the world out of only 503 ever built! AMD has made saving any Charger possible. I cut up a shitload of rusty New England Mopars, mostly second generation Chargers, back in the early eighties because there was no sheetmetal available to restore them!

It’s more than an ambitious endeavor but like you say AMD has been a huge blessing.

A little bit more I remember is that this hunk at the bottom of a raven was missing the dash vin. It had been cut out with a hacksaw. The vin. was located still attached to the crudely removed part of the dash.

There maybe more paperwork involved too that proves it was a Daytona.

The Guy with the Ravine Daytona tried to get Mark Warman to do the car and Mark said no because there wasn't enough of the original car left. I thought I read that the guy also located the engine for this car as well. These two Daytona's needed almost every piece replaced, but I give them credit for not hiding what was or will be done to them, and not just slapping the tags on another Charger. The market will determine what cars like these are worth.

A Dirty Mary Crazy Larry movie poster! It kinda gives away the ending of the movie though!

The good thing about watching the Chop Cut Rebuild show was that I finally saw a show where they were rebuilding a Charger instead of destroying one!

I am prepared to watch a show featuring the rebuild of the ravine Daytona!

The first two pictures show Rich Septhton wotking on the General Lee. The Next picture is Corey Eubanks wearing his blonde Bo Duke wig after completing his first jump on the set with the General Lee. The Next picture shows John Schnider and stunt man Allen Wyatt Jr in his Bo Duke garb. The last picture shows a hard landing that made it onto the shows opening theme!

I was always amazed by the train jump. It seems like it was the biggest jump that they did, including the ravine jump in the opening credits…

Supposedly the dry creek/ravine jump was the longest jump ever performed at 181 feet. Allen Wyatt jr. said the 440 4 speed Charger R/T used for the jump was his favorite of all the Chargers ever used on the show, and after he did the jump he was sorry to see the car gone.
