The Doris Day Show often featured Chargers in the show. Doris was a real Mopar Girl, and supposedly owned the 72 Charger with the sunroof for many years after it was shown on her show.
I used to think that they were part of the SE package, but could be ordered on other Chargers, but the people on Dodge Charger.com told me that I was incorrect about them being included in the package. Most Chargers with the SE package seem to have them. My moms Charger R/T SE had them, and every SE car I ever had also had them. I have had about ten of them.@chargervert , what's the scoop with rocker moldings and second gens.. were they just a random option at that point?
They did a nice job with the restoration, and seeing the pictures of the layers of paint, and the locations of the holes matching up to where all the camera equipment was mounted,I believe this to be the legit car from the movie BullittThe camera car was at Springfling some years back. Maybe a CPW Member on the forum has a picture
Bullitt was the first movie to destroy a second generation Charger on the big screen, the villains sinister black Charger R/T made such an impact on the audience that the Charger became the number one choice of getaway car for Hollywood!
Was the wire hanger antenna a factory or a dealer opción?This Charger Daytona clone in the movie Joe Dirt also survives filming, altough the knocked the obviously unbolted wing off the car in one scene! The top picture is a model, the other is the real car.
