BURNOUTS, donuts and general showing off? Proper procedure??

Words SPEAK LOUDER than a non-descript pix of an unknown subject trying to simplify a topic.......looks like an exerpt from the origional STAR TREK program: "City on the Edge of Forever"......????.....or....say what you mean.........

And I'm the #1 person of the third variant......those that don't give a ****......rubber tire smoke is like glyphosat, agent orange, DDT, and Sulphur Hexafluoride (SF6) and other known carcinogens.......problems don't develop until later in life......until it's too late .......but, if you don't care, then I don't care (about you) as well......

Certainly the smoke from an uncontrolled tire fire is far more toxic and contains more complex chemical compounds than the white smoke given off from spinning the tires. Even the act of driving a car causes tires to give off vapor; much of the wear that occurs in everyday tires that get less tread over the years is from the outside rubber layer coming off as a gas. At any rate, unless the car floor is full of holes, much of the tire smoke from a burnout won't be entering the car interior. Relax, Bob.

The whole car hobby seems like a carcinogen to me, and I don't mean that flippantly. As well as being a money suck for most of us, I don't know if you think you live a zero risk life and really don't want to know. Mine isn't zero risk but I weigh the pros and cons, its a personal choice that let's me enjoy some of it and not just exist but live.

Live clean, do nothing wrong and you’ll die anyway. In your last years, you’ll have no fond memories of the fun that you could have had from the things you were told not to do.
What a sad life that would be.
I’m like a lot of you guys…aging, a bit overweight but I don’t smoke or use drugs. I enjoy beef, women and getting dirty working on my cars. A few burnouts now and then get my blood moving and makes me smile. I’m not hurting anyone, not even myself.

Exactly Greg! I had a highschool buddy of over 49 years call me up late last night to wish me a happy birthday! Last year on his 60th birthday was the first time I'd seen him since the weekend the Wife and went home to tell everyone we were getting married the following Wednesday, 1982! We talked for well over an hour last night laughing 'till tears over the "stupid" **** we did in our teens, and most of it we still do. It'll be over before you want, don't waste it!

Guys brought their cars all the way from Australia to participate in the nonsense at the track we had last fall.Lol

Beside the smoke....nobody ever mentions the particulates (micronic sized solids) contained in the smoke. What compounds are these complex chemical compounds??....is there an analysis of the smoke's composition? The change from a solid to a gas is a process called sublimation...changing from a solid to a gas without passing thru the liquid phase.....is this the tire smoke you referenced? What about the winner of a NASCAR event....where burnouts abound.....and smoke so thick the car disappears......
Anyway.....just my thoughts.......

Something cryptic in this phrase....????....
BOB RENTON

With likely no consequences to the breahing of the tire smoke.....roughly equivalent of smoking a carton of cigarettes in 15 minutes.....so you'll have rubber coated lungs......???....but that's part of being "cool"......???

No cryptic message, my parents married before I was born. :bananadance:

@RJRENTON

Jeezus H Chrysler, Bob. Nothing like being a wet blanket in every thread. Lighten up, will ya?

Regarding the tire smoke from burnouts (and burning tires in general), how do you know what the smoke contains and it's overall effects??? It's very likely that you've never read the novel George Orwell's 1984, about a utopian society, where the citizens are told what to believe in.......have we, this generation, believe in what we're being told, without question.......tire smoke won't hurt you......believe what you want....and read the book.....you may change your mind.......enlighten one's persona.......

Sorry to disappoint you, Bob but I have read the book. And it has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

I don't give a **** what's in tire smoke. Im sure it's carcinogenic, but just like everything else, do it in moderation. One can't be wrapped up in cellophane their entire life. We are humans meant to live and feel.

I'll leave you with this...

“I enjoy talking to you. Your mind appeals to me. It resembles my own mind except that you happen to be insane.”
