I am typically pretty good at sniffing out a scammer.. I have heard of liberty Mopars through ads on YouTube and through Graveyard cars Tv and thought surely, they were decent.. Boy was I wrong. It has been nothing but excuses from Martin Lackner. He was paid Oct 4th 2024 and promised to pull parts that weekend and ship out that Monday.. Then promised to ship out that Tuesday, and then said parts were going out Thursday Oct 10th. 2 full weeks later after saying they were going out parts still are not here, just more excuses. This week he said he had personal issues and is behind, I requested a refund. He stated parts are pulled and boxed; I requested pics all he had was the 1 picture of dash harness in box. He provided tracking # but no parts movement, and parts have yet to reach USPS. I'm willing to give people the benefit of the doubt till they prove me wrong.. I am out of patience for him. My bank has been unable to reverse transaction because it was paid through cash app, it is still under review hopefully I'll see it back, because I highly doubt I'll ever see this shipment from Liberty Mopars.

The used parts business for classics is drying up. These dudes that have the old yards like to think that they have all the parts they used to ..... but now source from e-bay to fill orders . I kid you not.....low ball the market just to pretend they had it

Sounds very familiar to my interactions with Martin/Liberty Mopars. Week after week, month after month, nothing but excuses, and never ONCE did I get a tracking number. I must've demanded it about 2 dozen times. I gave up after about 4 months of hassles. Like you, he provided pics of the parts, which most scammers won't, so it seemed he was legit. He also had otherwise good feedback on here, so there was no reason not to trust him. Fortunately I paid with VISA. At least it looks like you got a tracking number...

The later stages of your chats are all too familiar...family issues, court dates, a crazy ex that had him blocked from his own property so he couldn't get the box to ship it, blah blah blah...and the passive-aggressive response that he won't reply to threats if you dare to be unhappy. Convenient. Too much B.S. that's not OUR problem. If you have family **** getting in the way of business...don't do business.

I feel your frustration...I began to notice this trend emerging a number of years ago. Now it has ballooned into nothing but a nightmare!!! I am no longer active in the hobby for parts both selling and procuring, so I am absent from these types of things taking place. Scammers are nothing worse than a thief as it seems that no one anymore has any integrity left so Me Me Me and FOOK YOU!!! No wonder America is in the shape it is now!!! cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

He failed.. he should not have accepted the money transfer until it was ready to ship.
But 13 days isn't nearly a month.
It's a bad relationship, busy seller, demanding customer.

If payment was received, I don't see it that way, RemCharger. If a seller takes my money, there's no excuse for sitting on the crapper for 2 weeks before doing anything. At least the OP got a tracking number, something I never got after 4 months of BS. So I hope this drama doesn't turn out the same way as for me.

I can agree with that, like I said it was the sellers fault for accepting the transfer prematurely.
I just had the opposite.. sold a guy a motor and trans, said he needed a bit to clean his garage up, I said ok..
3 months later .. had to say get this **** out of here,, PLEASE

but Libertys feedback is quite good. One negative

Yeah I almost bought some parts from this guy recently. I had a very sick feeling about it after I said yes and backed out of it before payment. Glad I did.

I can sell you a tracking number, how many do you want?
Give me one for free, and I can tell you in minutes if it's bogus or not. We aren't all fools, and a legit tracking number has always been a way to confirm something we ordered is indeed en route. If you demand one and aren't given one, isn't that a red flag to you?

He was paid Oct 4th that makes it nearly a month.

No. Sending money with no recourse of getting it back is a red flag to me.
I don't get what your point is, replying on here. Isn't this a forum of MOSTLY reasonable enthusiasts trying to help each other out? So you've never bought anything from another forum member here? And if you have, did you NOT expect a tracking number for it? And if you did, did you outright disbelieve it and consider it fake? Take your trolling elsewhere.

Oct 10th he " said" parts were going out. Oct 23rd you said " nearly a month" . Even if you add the extra 6 days of negotiations you're still only at 19 days. That would leave nearly 2 weeks for your exaggeration to come true.
And still over a week left as it stands today!

I'm on your side, you should get your parts or a refund..
