We have the same thing happening here announced a year or so ago..will affect the whole country...same date..2035....bought forward from the original date of 2042. And we are a majority conservative country so it's not much to do with the socialists...more to do with us not being able to meet the pollution targets we signed up to a few years back without going EV.. But it won't stop us using the cars already out there....the new rules only stop us from buying NEW gas and diesel powered cars. Cars on the road at that time car still be used. They are not going to ban those....just rely on the natural wastage as they rust away and die. I can see buying fuel becoming more difficult after a while as the gas stations become charging stations....but not enough to be a worry in my lifetime. I wont be going EV...ever....if I can help it!

Does that new legislation actually say that the gas cars cant be used after that date?....or that you just cant buy new ones after that date...like here. Scrapping millions of car in 2035 hardly seems very green if its the forma!!

Specifically, it isn't legislation, it is an Executive Order that can be dumped by the next Governor.
I understand that it pertains to NEW vehicles.
