Caltracs with super stoke springs.
Has anyone got this combo to work?
If so, what were your settings?

Do they make them? I think you have to shorten the bar to make the regular ones work.

Calvert says not to run SS springs with their system. Call John Calvert and ask.

I bought my caltracs from Mancini's, told them I had 002/003 springs on my car and they said Caltracs would work just fine with them. I believe there is an ad with them on multi- leave springs somewhere also. On a different thread here on fbbo i mentioned that i was going to run them with ss springs and was told i couldn't do it so i called Calvert racing and was told I needed split mono's which I bought . Seems to be some misinformation out there from the guys selling this stuff.

Same here. Bought from Mancini and was told they would work with super stocks. I'm in Canada so returning them isn't an option. That's my last purchase from Mancini, never again!!!

We tried it and it definitely didn't work with 456/457 SS springs. Car porpoised badly! They seem to work against each other.

The split mono's work perfectly and I have been 1.37 60ft. with a 3600 lbs. car on a 275 drag radial.

Can I take some leafs out of the super stocks as a fix or bandaid? With the covid all our borders are closed, so I couldn't get splits if I wanted too. Or do I throw these caltracs away and just run the super stocks?

I run the CE slide a links. Pretty much the same as Cal Tracs. 002/003 springs. I was told to run either 1 as they both do different ways. I have mine adjusted just by hand. The pass side is preloaded 1 turn more from when the nut touches. The driver side is just touching , no preload. I have viking double adjustable rear shocks only. I believe they are on 6 and 9, but I can’t remember which way. Stock shocks on the front. This is a 74 duster 3300 lbs. with driver. 4.10s, 29x11.5x15 Hoosier quick time pro’s. 470 stroker. Flash stalls to 4000. 1.451 60 ft. 10.37 @ 129.65 mph. Kim

If it’s not thru the mail u will get them. I had a crank shipped from Delaware to Saskatchewan. Came in a week. It was either ups or FedEx. I know, I know, but I had to have it. Kim

Shorten the bar?!
Yeah shorten the bar. The superstock springs have the centering pin moved forward hence the reason for the extended front hangers. Not saying it's right bit that's what you'd have to do to even get them to fit.

Somewhat pointless. Just get the right stuff and be done with it. Super stock springs were not designed to be run with a leverage pivot bar, and the Cal track bars were not designed to be run on super stock springs. Why even try to put them together?

The pin hasn't been moved, the front segment is shorter. 20" vs . 22.

Like Lemonwedge said, just get the right stuff to begin with. The Cal-Tracs are a total package that needs all of the components to work properly.

I thought I was getting the right stuff, according to Mancini it was supposed to work. They sold it to me as a package, front shocks, rear shocks, super stocks and caltracs.
