Your good! can't go wrong with that. looks like a nice car, the price is very safe, you can't restore a car like that for the price. Good job.

Thanks! I am very close to pulling the trigger!!!!!!
Awaiting everybody's input on my other post that has pictures of the car!!!

yes, WS23 Is the first four of your vin. WS23 a coronet R/T, think I posted on your other question, about non numbers matching, I didn't see this one. 21K for Non matching? I don't know. I just sold my brothers matching 67' GTX beautiful car for 24K. It was fairly priced. True, Chrysler didn't put the vin on the engine in 67', but that engine build date should be very close to the car date, and not after the build date. If it is after, clearly the car doesn't have the original engine. that fact does
Influence its value. My GTX's(2) both have dates on the block of 10 days prior to the scheduled build date or less. My brothers was 9 days. My 67' Chrysler
440 is 3 days prior. So I don't recommend paying the price of a real original for one that Isn't. I wouldn't, and other 67' experts
wouldn't either. Just be cautious, and keep asking questions!

This is not entirely true, RE the numbers and dates of engine manufac. As long as the engine is a date PRIOR up to the date but not exceeding the vehicle body number build date you are good. Having an engine that is only 'days' away from the vehicle body build date is irrelevant for '67 and before.

that is true, but not too far. The further away it is, the less likely it is the original, is all I was saying. Plymouth didn't build a hp 67 engine in may or Jun of 66 for a 67'. They started the stamping in July for the Aug build. , not sooner. In the end, the guy that can prove that engine was in that car when new has the more valuable car. 10 days Is a slam dunk. three months, highly unlikely. after the build date, Impossible.LoL

By the way, you have a gorgeous Coronet. I hope my GTX comes out that good!

I agree that a long gap between the engine and body dates would most likely indicate it is not the original engine.

I suppose there will be a time when we won't get many original engine/body matches anymore.

Tx for your comments on my Corrie! Wishing you luck with your GTX mate.

You have a copy of my Brothers Coronet 440 in 1967! It was a 383 four Barrel column shift, copper in and out. That is why I like mine so much, as I couldn't find a Coronet like that. I personally don't care if the engine is the same week or the same month, the engine doesn't know any better. Unfortunately some people see these cars like a rare piano or something, and want the rarest of the rare in order to
have something special,so they pay more to say they have it. My 69' Cuda has a 68' 383 engine in it, and it matters
not at all to me. I love that car all the same. I even put full wheel covers on it to bug the hotrodders.
If I want to confuse them I pull the 66' Coronet out!

Do you still need your fender tag decoded? If so, I need the numbers below the 'P' 'N' and 'S'

I just listed my R/T in the for sale section. It is a factory 440 4 speed dana car. I priced it high but if a member is interested i can deal.

I am having problems trying to decode this…
Is this a real R/T??

Can anybody give me the correct decoded info???

Thanks again for your help!

I would be glad to help out a little. I could not read what was under the 'P' the 'N' or the 'S'. The P & N are body paint color code numbers, and the 1 under the T is for mono tone paint, meaning car is all one color. The S is for stripes.
Here is what I know. It IS a real Dodge Coroner R/T with a 440HP, 375hp, 1-4bbl engine with a 26 inch radiator, Torqueflite automatic trans, 3.23 suregrip 8 3/4 differential, and 7.75 X 14 Red Streak tires, 5 with spare. Scheduled production date was Monday, October 10, 1966. The interior has black bucket seats, console and black upper door frames with a 2watt economy/ Music Master radio. It also has wide body sill mouldings and a tinted windshield (only).
I hope this helps. Send me the numbers I can't make out in the photo and I'll tell you those too. Also any other information you need, give me a holler and I'll see what I can do for you. I used to have a gold one, wish I still had it. Happy Holidays...
