Cannot Remove Brake Pushrod From Rear Piston

Replacing my brake master cylinder. When I removed the old one the pushrod would not release from the pistons. I got this left to remove but it won’t budge. Is there a trick to this?

Do you have any other photos from an angle from in side installation in the firewall?

pb buster let it soak. Do have a vise?

Clamp it in a vice, the ROD. Leave just enough room for a pickle fork between the piston and rod. One wack ...

Clamp the rod in a vice with about 1/4 inch of space to the piston. 2 large screwdrivers one on each side and it will pop right off.

Thanks for all the advise. I do have a vice. Man it is in hard. All my other cars in the past the rod just slid out easily. Now I hope the bolts can be pounded out from the old MC

If you are reusing the studs, put on nuts to save the threads and tap them out with a hammer. Just tap them into your replacement MC. I had to use JB Weld to secure them into a new MC with larger holes. Worked well.

The "trick" was to pull it out while the master was still on the car. Do as Dadsbee says.
