69Clone, FYI I have an extra used California Car Cover that I'd sell if you can use it. It's awfully dusty and could use a cleaning, but no rips. PM me if you're interested.
Yeah, I just don't wanna pay an arm and leg for a cover. I know it is protecting all the time and money I spent on the body work but just can't justify it...
70Fish, PM sent.
I got one ot those and am very happy with it. It's waterproof and really keeps my car clean and dry. I go to the beach often and have to park outside and this cover keeps the salty dew off the finish. Saves a lot of clean up time.
I just got a 69 Chrysler 300 conv... 18 and a half feet long. If they have one large enough i'll get one for it too.
I bought one of these a year or so back. The material seems pretty good. Waterproof from what I can tell and soft onthe car side. They ARE NOT, however fitted for the car like they advertise. I bought mine for my 62 Savoy and it's long enough to use on a car 4 feet longer!!
It's way too long..
I'm not sure if I bought that exact cover but I got a very similar one off eBay. Seems like it could be the same... mine may have been more than $49... anyway I've been very happy with it.
Like stumpy says it's not custom fit but mine fits just fine and it's about the right length and width. The material is very thick and sturdy and the inside is nice and soft. I use mine inside the garage so I'm not sure how water resistant it is.
I bought one of their custom covers two years ago. Paid damn near $180 for it and while it fits great, it's not weathering so well. It spent one winter (total of four months) outside and wore through were the fender mounted turn signals are. Now sharp edges you might expect to have problems, but the turn signals ? I've now taken to using 1" foam pipe insulation over any area I think might wear the cover out.
bought 1 about 2 maybe 3 years ago....has worn well but through the Georgia summers and heavy rains, but it's starting to deteriorate, basically it will keep car dry ..but is starting to leave water marks where it is seemed together, fitment is ok-good, suppleness is good....but like 5windowcoupe...after awhile it does NOT like sharp curves or edges...for the price ...hey I'd buy another one...lololol
Thanks guys, All I care about is keeping it dry and not scratching. My parents told me they got me one for Christmas, I'm assuming it's this one as it's the only one I showed them.
