A little Blackberry Smoke
They are the best band out there, hands down. And whiskey Myers too, the current future of great music.I'm pretty sure I saw them on a small stage at Summerfest in Milwaukee around 2011. They were good.
I feel blessed that I got to see Blackfoot dozens of times way back when as they lived in NJ for quite a while. One of my absolute favorite bands. The first time saw them was for a $1.00 cover charge! They played so loud hat they offered free cotton to anyone who couldn't take the volume! I had spoken to all of them bunches of times. I recall one night we all got treated to a one handed drum solo by Jackson "Thunderfoot" Spires while he chugged a 6 pack of Heineken and never missed a beat! When they put out their first album, I had to drive 35 miles to the only place that had it then. I walked in and asked the clerk for it & to my shock, Charlie Hargrett comes out from the back room & said,"Holy ****, I just heard somebody ask for our album!" I also was at a club near a college where there was dancing & drinking going on. Toward the end they were playing Highway song and kept jammin faster& faster. The entire bunch on whole dance floor gave up trying to keep up & everyone just stood & stared in awe! Another time, was at a larger club where they were the headliners; When they started playing, a guy next to me said Wow, these guys are awesome, they are so tight & the drummer is an absolute animal! I had to buy all of their albums in 4 different formats; vinyl, 8 track, cassette & finally cds! Between working in loud boiler rooms and with centrifugal chillers, top fuel drag racing & the loud rock music for many years, I have had tintinus to this day; but I don't regret the music exposure at all!Ol' Smokey Medlocke hisself would be proud of you for picking this one.
