Fuel pump plunger rod is wore
same thing happened to me in Heath last year at the Mopar nats running fine then just quit no fuel the problem was fuel pump push rod
What is the best/easiest way to check this? On lift and remove the pump is necessary? Any other way to troubleshoot or diagnose this if on the road? I dumped the electric fuel pump for the reliability of a manual pump. So far so good. Mopar Hi-Po.Hello,You should check your fuel pump plunger rod.It happen to me, fuel pump rod wore and would not let the pump cycle.
Hello'The problem is not your fuel pump!!!The problem is the rod the operates your pump.Remove fuel pump there is a pipe plug below where the pump is mounted I believe you will need a 5/15"allen wrench to remove the plug. The rod will slide out of that hole where the plug was.Go to NAPA get a new one compare length if your old one is shorter thats your proplemMr. B - the fuel pump is brand new. It's only got about 100 miles on it. But that's the first thing I'm going to check is in and around the pump and lines close to it. Thx for the tip.
Okay, okay - I understand now. Thank you for your patience. I'm a bit short on oil If you know what I mean. I'm going to pull the fuel pump tomorrow and that will be the first thing - after the line - that I check. I appreciate the support. I report back after I check the line and pull this rod. Under the cover of darkness of course - so my HOA doesn't notice.....Hello'The problem is not your fuel pump!!!The problem is the rod the operates your pump.Remove fuel pump there is a pipe plug below where the pump is mounted I believe you will need a 5/15"allen wrench to remove the plug. The rod will slide out of that hole where the plug was.Go to NAPA get a new one compare length if your old one is shorter thats your proplem
