I'll be rebuilding an Original 1970 Carter BBD soon, And I was looking for some advice on a Chem Dip to use.

I know Berryman is a popular choice, But I also hear it's not as good (Strong) as it used to be.

Thoughts?

I just rebuilt 3 2bbl.carbs and they came out beautiful. I used Eastwood renew 2 carb paint on them 001.jpg002.jpg car is up and running great! disassemble the carb completely and soak all parts over night. reassemble with a carb kit and your set to go.

I got a 5 gallon pail from NAPA. Its not like it used to be.

I used the gallon can. It works ok as long as you don't have a bunch of crud built up on the outside. As stated before.. it ain't like it use to be, but it still smells like crap.

Yea.
Looks I'll be trying a can of Berryman. The NAPA stuff is supposed to be a little stronger, But you cant beat $18 a gallon at WM for Berryman. I can probably make up for it with some extra elbow grease.

If anyone knows any alternatives or anything, Please speak up.

PS: Those are REAL NICE hemi#1!

Two things I've learned by experience:
1) TSP or most alkaline cleaners will discolor and oxidize (white pits of doom) aluminum.
2) Polish the accelerator pump well(s).

Have fun!
