I know this is probably been beat to death but I’d like to approach redoing the linkage in steps. Just easier for me as I’m new to this carb. This is how I received the car back after engine work.
So in the following pics you will see what was done like the spring going to the rear binding over the intake!
Last pic is what parts I have on hand.
440 with a Holley 750 on a Performer RPM intake.
Before I start can you guys tell what parts I need, such as clips, brackets or extension studs?

First off you will need to modify and raise the bracket and then extend the rod going down to the transmission. Right now your geometry will never be even close to being usable. With the parts I see you most likely will not need anything else except a front mounted spring bracket. You might need to reposition the coil.

For the 440 he would need one of these. He then should use a lokar cable for the kick down. I never found a need to buy the brackets or cables. In less than a hours time you can cut and extend the stock bracket along with extending the kick down rod. Here is what Andy Finkbeiner recommends.

Thanks guys for the quick replies.
I’ll get the Mancini part and after it comes in I’ll regroup when it’s in.

i think the spring bracket was bolted in the back of the carb where the spring is binding around the intake.
If I’m wrong I’ll get a new bracket.

These guys know what they are talking about the only thing i noticed is you do not have a return spring on the kick down you may want to think about it hear is a picture of an original 440 hook up for the carb return and the kick down set up.

In the above picture, do you see how the throttle cable and kd adjuster are arranged? In your 20-7 Holley pack, that stud goes into the big hole on the arm. And as I've found out, the Holley version of that stud is too big and won't let the cable attach to it. Had to file it down. Another item I'll be looking for at the Spring Fling. Nab an old one.

I have the spring and I’ll install it when the other parts come in. Thanks.

I’ll see if my old stud from existing setup will work.
Thanks for helping.
