Damn it’s not coming back

Thats why I bought 15 quarts of it and I still have 20 quarts of vr1 when autozone had it for $23 for 5 qts last year and now its $37 for 5 qts. So i hoping im set for awhile.

My cars and the van just drink trough that 0-5W garbage they are using now. When I can find it I get the GTX 20-50. I will buy 3 or 4 quarts at a time. Two different countermen asked me what I use it for. High Mileage, high speed! I'm that guy up your butt in the left lane! I'll come right up on you but I won't draft you, I will back off to a reasonable distance hoping you will move over.

You noticed that too huh.
Yeah it went up almost double
I bought 8 and two vr racing
What a drag because even the filters went up too.

It’s a minimal increase but our gas is 525 a gallon

I add comp can zinc addictive to my solid flat lifter A-body build. Mechanical lifters really suffered with the loss of zinc.

I was told that hydraulic and roller is not as susceptible to lubrication failure with lower zinc than solid. But anything classic certainly should keep in mind.

Used to run GTX 20-50 for 10 years starting in 73. Hope they changed the formulation because it wasn't right back then. Way too much detergent and not enough lubricity......and took me 3 automotive engines and one motorcycle engine to convince me.
