Turning my attention to the gauge cluster, my original had the clock and cut-out for some 80's cassette deck I had in there.

Installed a new tachometer from Charger Specialties in place of the clock, also changed the lens to one without the hole for the clock thingy.

Next I used a silver craft paint pen to go around the edges to make things look better.

Also went over the surrounding and the Charger SE emblem with the same pen.

Since I had the pen out I did the dash vent as well.

Dropped by the shop last Thursday to drop of my Hood Pin kit that I bought decades ago at a local car show.
Just some more random shots, not a lot of progress, could be in paint next week.

Kit was produced by D.C.S., did a quick Google search and it looks like they are still around. (actually think it's Dales Cuda Shop)

A little bit of an update, little more touch ups on top and bottom. Should see some colour by the end of this week. Fingers crossed.

Progress update for this week. Panels are off and sanded. The large panels to go in for primer tomorrow and following that the car body is going to be shot in colour on the firewall, underneath and in the passenger compartment all in colour. The car will be primed on the outside with slicksand and the panels will be installed and blocked to the car, then the car will go into the booth for final paint.

Well I have decided to get my grungy looking working 3-speed wiper motor rebuilt by Stephan Fournier here in Canada. It was fine before my car was restored but now it's going to stand out like a sore thumb.

Got them from Dixie restorations, nice quality.

Here's my latest purchase, time to start putting those rear quarter windows back, picked these up from National Moparts here in Canada, this is the place I actually bought my car back in '92. Hey Nigel. :cheers:

Removed the old seal, the new seal slides in and this little metal tab goes through the whole in the rubber seal. Used some silicone spray as the seal was a very tight fit; which of course you want.

As we know with most repro parts they are usually a little off, the hole that was drilled in the seal was out of place so I had to drill a new whole and it had to be a little more oval for the rubber seal to fit over it.

Finished product, I am very happy with it and glad it was available in the aftermarket, mine have always looked like crap.

Pulled the ol' girl out of the garage into the sun.

Installed the roof rail weatherstripping, not fun and it seemed to fit kind of weird, also hard to compare 46 year old weatherstrip to new ones. Think I will leave the passengers side until I get the doors back on.

Also put the drip rail moulding back on, glad to get it out of the way of getting damaged.

Very nice resto, I'm enjoying the thread. During the Coronet resto, it seemed that the weatherstripping and cat's whiskers were about the biggest PIA of the entire build. The drip rail rubber took two of us to align. And the rear window was the hardest because the factory stapled the felt onto the surround and the aftermarket stuff didn't line up. Eventually I riveted it in place. Same company that you're using - it's nice once installed.
 
Thank you for the kind words CoronetDarter, yeah may tackle the passenger drip rail rubber when I am feeling in a relaxed mood, lol.

@Glenwood, I buy from Nigel whenever it's more cost-worthy for me.
