Found a great deal on a champion radiator and 2 12' electric fans, I was hoping i could get rid of my b-17 style engine driven fan, and go all electric. Its a 22 inch radiator, three row. Dont know if champion makes good radiators or not. thanks!

A properly tuned O.E. cooling system works quite well. Don't second guess it.

I would think your set up is fine. I bought the 3 row with 2 10" fans for my 68 Charger that has a 550 hp stroker, and it didn't do the job. I had to put a mechanical fan on it and now it's golden.

on board with this question also....i will have a 400-450 hp 383 in my 66 belvedere and was wondering about the champion radiators also...i can get a 3 core off of fleabay for around $225 shipped....and i was planning on using a mechanical fan and a electrical....thoughts???

Where yah going to fit 24 feet of cooling fans? That's a big fan!

I don't have an electric water-pump, and had two 10" fans. How big of a fan do you have on yours? Puller I take it?

I may put my two fans back on and make them pushers. When sitting in traffic on a hot day, it would be nice to fire them up to keep the temp down. These fans didn't work for me as/is though. They claim the fans would work for 600 hp, but it didn't. My car runs nice and low now....

Just installed Champions 26" 3 core aluminum rad with shroud and flex fan on my 65 belveder with a 440.(Champion Rad) Car hits 235 in traffic. Installed their shroud and 2 12" fans. Car hits 235. Jeff at Champion was nice enough to take both units back and is sending me a 2 row with 1" ports and a 16" electric fan. Said hes had problems with 12" fan output. Jeff at Champion is very customer oriented, I'm currently waiting on the new parts.
I've had a overheating prob with this car and can't find it. 22" copper rad and flex fan it hits 210 in traffic. Replaced rad, fans, water pump, checked timing and carb. Tore motor down. It was supposedly just blue printed, no block filler and no obstructions. Checked water jackets with a bore scope. Hope the new parts work !!

I had problems in traffic with a 498 stroker motor and installed a 26 inch 2 row champion rad, schroud and 7 blade steel flex fan. Runs as cool as can be now. I've had several champion radiators and My 2 cents is they are the best bang for the buck, bar none

26" Champion with 7 blade mechanical fan on worked 360. Used to run 190-195 now 170 all day long with 160 ts
