I've got a 1977 Cordoba with 400 engine. It's got the stock thermo-quad and Lean Burn ignition set up. I'm going to replace the LB system with a GM HEI module and vacuum advance Mopar distributor. The carburetor is the question. Which one would you recommend? I'm leaning towards the Edelbrock Performer because they are simple. However, they are square bore and I'm going on to the stock intake which is spread bore. Will an adapter plate work with this combination.

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered, but I did a search and couldn't find a tread like it. I'm new to Mopar this is my first one. Most GM and Ford in the past. Thanks.
