Job completed...took about 1 1/2 hours. Used 5/8 offset box end (I have the small plug heads), 3/4 offset box with the 5/8 plug socket, ratchet with plug socket and a stubby 5/8 combination wrench.
As Ironbuilt, PRHeads said different tools for different plugs...khryslerkid is right being flexible helps...thanks for all the comments and suggestions.
Probably the hardest part for me was making sure the plug wires “snapped” on.
I have a Jegs set of 1 7/8" ceramic long tube headers and mine are very easy to swap out. There are a few that need a box end wrench over the spark plug socket, but the rest only need a ratchet, swivel, small extension. And like you said, a few like #4 and #6 are tough to get the plug wires snapped on.
On my Charger I find it easy to do 1,3,2 from up top with a standard 3/8 rachet and spark plug socket. 4,6,8,5,7 from underneath. 4,6 take a wrench on the end of the socket.
On my Challenger, went Hemi, takes 5 mins. Lol.
