Changing Speedo gear on 727

Thought i'd bring this old thread back to life. It's a goodun.

Would the speed O gear out of A904 work in 727. My speed O worked for couple drives then stopped.

So I changed the gear in my speedo to a 31 tooth which is correct for my set up but

my housing only has alignment marks for 21/25. What location do I install it at for my 31 tooth?
