Do I need to drop the column or can I just unscrew the gauge cluster and tilt it forward and change the lens?
I bought a new one from PG and want to change it out with the least amount of work-lol

thanks
Al.

On my 63 I had to drop the column also. Really not that big of a deal.

Just chock the wheels if you have column shift. I have had mine pop out of park when dropping the column.

sounds like a dumb beginner question-but can you walk me through dropping the column?

Chock the wheels as stated earlier! Remove the cover under the column, remove the 2 nuts and clamp and gently lower the column It's that simple! Oh by the way disconnect the battery ground cable! You'll have to unhook the amp gauge wires and wire harness, speedo cable. Be very careful when you pull the wire harness off DON'T bend or twist the plug you'll break the pins off of the circuit board! If you do break them! I have another board I'll sell!
