Checking a K memebers not bent

Set it upside down on a flat surface with 4 same length spacers under each mounting point. They should all touch. You don't need anything fancy - a flat table and 4 pieces of 2 x 4 will be sufficient.
Ive got 2 bent k members the one i bought is even worse than my origional ffs

Going back to when we fixed these cars years ago, sometimes we would see the strut rod opening bent/ cupped when the lower control arm/ suspension got whacked. If the wheel/ suspension took a rearward collision impact, the strut rod mount would pull back into the opening of the k frame.

If I didnt think i could do it Id knit sweaters or grow a big beard to hide behind, this shits my life nothing beats a challenge. Even better is its a iconic beast. My 70 GTX is next on the list. Makes checking measurements easy with another b body sitting next to the charger. Anyone on here ever do front frame rails on thier own without a frame jig?

I have. 69 GTX, inner fenders were cut out for headers and the rails were rusty behind the shock towers. My saving grace was a front clip that came with my car. I had my car on jackstands and leveled. I then welded up a frame under the rails and rad support, marked it to the floor and cut the old front half off. The new one went on as a single piece (rails, inner fenders and rad support). Everything lined up in the end. That was my first ever.

Well 3rd times the charm, found another 70 k member and suprise suprise its actually straight and level, measures 34 between 2 front mount holes.. Now I'm on my way to welding up my complete front end.
