Chinese copy of Edelbrock RPM intake?

If it's made in China....

I won't contribute to it. I have a "anywhere but China policy" in my home, can't always avoid it but I pay extra any time there is an option. That's my personal opinion.
Same here.

Just curious...were there markings on the packaging that said made in China or does the intake have "China" marked on it?
Unk if the pic is authentic, but notice the casting is clear, w/o the logo obviously.

China is making whole cars now. I think they are called Cherry.
Won’t we be lucky when we can buy them. Probably order right from Amazon.
I think you can buy an electric pu truck, made in China, today..... for less than $10k. It's just entirely NOT street legal in the US, and it comes in a box, some assembly required.

I’ll shoot myself first.

I won't name the company, or state, but they used to have fuel tanks made in China. There was a little disagreement, this company lost their dies over it. Don't know who China makes those tanks for now, but they stole the companies dies.
Case in point, how many radiator, alt/starter repair shops are left in your area? One of each left here, and when they retire, gone.

Well I was wrong about that.
Found a Kei-sized cargo truck, electric, Chinese, new ..... $2800. Lots of choices, well under $10k, some under $5K.
IF they were street legal, I MIGHT consider one,for commute to the grocery store.... but No! No! No!!!

Nothing wrong with these. A few members on FABO have carved the crap out of them with stellar results. They were impressed with the castings. Pittsburgracer (RIP) liked them better than the Edelbrocks!

Sometimes, and for some people, the difference in price between US made and chinese made parts amounts to the difference between a half completed motor on a stand, or a completed one in the car.
Or.... I saved enough money on my stroker kit to pay for new heads, or a roller cam.
Just how it is in today's world. I'd prefer it wasnt.

A molnar kit is about $600 more than 440 source.

Trick flow heads are USA made. I’ve been told the quality is much higher.

The thing is it is impossible to escape import products. We would all love to but in 2025 it's just over.
The best I can do is when offered a choice pick the USA built item or assembled in or.......
True bit of info, last few years in our shop customers with late model cars would insist on Gm , Ford , Chrysler parts.
Some insurance coverage would play along if the policy covers that and the car was new enough.
The sad part about it was the big three are sourcing their parts from China.
For example a 2020 buick headlamp would come in a GM box delivered buy the GM parts truck.
Un box it yep ( made in China).

If edelbrock would sell the performer rpm for $250 instead of $470 i would purchase a couple. And i bet they would still make a good profit at $250.

So apparently low prices are what this country wants. I guess I’m on the losing side again. God save the USA.

Free Enterprise drives competition and innovation and helped build this country and willing to have a plentiful supply of losers (the US has had 5000? car manufacturers and now has 3 left?).

Now that we are getting beat at the game that helped us get to the top is now slightly disingenuous to complain about the game.

I know other factors are environment regs, near slave labor, stealing designs, workplace safety, etc but we haven't got extremely clean hands on that matter either, even if our hands might be the cleanest.

Well that's the thing that pisses me off... it's the same amount of material and machining as the chevy intake... but they F us cause they can..

I find it quite humorous that the Chinese knockoff RPM manifold copier choose to keep the square pad that Eddy recently added to affix their "made in USA" plate.

But..... When it comes down to either money or principals, I'll choose principals.

Now if they copied the old CH4B, I might buy one of those ....but only because Eddy stopped making them decades ago.
