Chinese copy of Edelbrock RPM intake?

If it's made in China....

Chinese theft is in everything, there literally isn't a single thing they don't steal and reverse engineer including things that are a threat to our national defense! If you feel fine saving money supporting their theft then more power to you, I won't contribute to it. I have a "anywhere but China policy" in my home, can't always avoid it but I pay extra any time there is an option. That's my personal opinion.

It's cool cept when they drill all the holes to mount the intake in the wrong spots and you have to grind out a $400+ intake to make it fit the engine... my RPM was like that and i believe it was PBR that got 3 victor intakes with the same issue....

How did you pay for it? I believe you have up to 6 months to open a case on credit card charges. I've been plenty upset with quite a few of my automotive purchases. I actually started a claim against a brake system company before they finally broke down and refunded my $. Bad QC sucks but bad Customer service is MUCH worse.

Why? Well... my edelbrock performer RPM for a small block cost me $449.... the chinese knock off is $99-139 depending on the day... The edelbrock was machined wrong and wouldn't even bolt to the motor... Edelbrocks RMA service was "well that sucks.. we might have some more in a few months and they might have the same problem still"

So there's just 2 quick reasons as to "why".. i fell for the "Made in the USA" ****, paid over double what the intake should have cost and got screwed.. i have worked in smaller factories and i know what made in america means

Knowingly giving your cash to a China knockoff of something created by American engineers is a very lefty thing to do. Not cool though.

Isn't quite a lot, whether we like or not, re-pro, trim parts made in China for our cars.. PG classic products, American racing rims... my torq thrust were at least not made in USA. I doubt also my new (last year installed) Edelbrock E-Street heads, casted in USA or..
I work at an international company with HQ in Europe, factoriws globally, visited different factories. Our joint venture factories in China do well, no worse than other places located factories.. They produce have high quality (I have visited)..most products from the China located factory is for the local market. This is probably the case at least for international companies with global quality assurance covering all factories, independantly where located...does not really matter where made.
There are a lot of Teslas in China, made in China, not copies..anyhow components very likely local supply (maybe anyhow in el.vehicles, Tesla is also full of import components? ). Time move forward, all world develop and competition increases... for a long time the developed Western countries need to step up to hold the line in the competition.
Price competition is good for us consumers, not so good if there is only monopoly

Plenty of 'local' products come from elsewhere. Back in 1980, I bought a Holley spreadbore (the kind that is a replacement for a Quadrajet) which looked innocent on the outside. You had to disassemble it to find the "Made In Japan" castings inside. Holley also brought parts in from China, and they had problems with that. Holley Performance Products v.
