Hey guys,

My 408 stroker has issues running hot at low speed and idle. I've decided to replace my radiator and add a shroud, but I'm not sure which shroud to buy. Right now I'm running a American Eagle AE1635 (Champion), and the inlet location is too far centered for clearance for a shroud. The US Radiator Co seems to get good reviews on this site (I did perform a search), and I like that they work easily with a OEM shroud. There are two shrouds in YearOne that look like the could fit. One is fiberglass and the other is urethane. The urethane is about $30 more. Anyone purchased either of these shrouds to fit with this radiator? What size clutch fan did you use? 18" or 19"? I'm running a modified 5 blade w/ clutch (cut .5" off each blade for rad hose clearance) I took off a 318 Dodge Dakota.

My new rad choice:

I'm hoping to have her back on the road again and test her out in the 100* AZ summer heat.

One more question. Would a Milodon HV pump flow too fast through a 2 core 1"tube radiator, or just stick to an OEM pump?

Thanks in advance guys!

Thanks for that "post" Justin!
That might be the trick for my new 63 Max wedge clone Polara

Already ordered the radiator from US Radiator (re-routes the top inlet to the passenger side). My main concern was the fan shroud fitment. The guys at US radiator say I shouldn't have that problem with the one I bought. Also bought the correct thermostat housing, hose, fan, shroud, and high flow Milodon Stat. Hopefully, the overheating problem will be fixed after this.

I have a 22" U.S. Radiator and a original repo fan shroud bought through YearOne that will not fit. I even had to shorten and reroute my trans cooling lines to work and the paint is flaking off. Don't breath too hard on it or else it'll dent the very thin brass that it is made out of. The only thing nice about it is YearOne will refund my money since it never had water in it yet. Oh well Glen-Ray has one I will be buying soon, good luck on yours.

Alex from U.S Radiator told me the same thing, but I wanted to use the original style fan shroud.

Justin - thanks for coming in and answering questions. I have one for you.

#1 - Is your 22 inch radiator #2375S made by KKS?

thanks,

short stack

How thick is the radiator overall......the prints don't show it!

I'm interested in a 22 inch, 2 core big block, but NEED to know the overall thickness.
